Created by Idaho-born artist Greg K. Olsen and chosen as the artwork for the 3rd Anniversary of the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival, Castles in the Sky depicts exactly what makes great storytelling – wonder and imagination. The little boy in the painting has built a simple castle of blocks, but he has also entered the world of creativity and transformation. Like Artist Olsen, and like the little boy with his blocks, a great storyteller can take the stuff of everyday life and turn it into something more.
The journey into imagination, from blocks to castles in the sky, is part of each annual Timpanogos Storytelling event.
